To promote the release of Star Fox Zero for the Wii U, Midnight Oil and Nintendo took over GameStop’s Twitter channel for a one-day event that gave pet owners the chance to submit their furry friend to join Team Star Fox and win awesome prizes.

As fans tweeted photos of their animal pals, a team of designers created irresistible images of furry, scaly (and in some cases, quilled) pets on the fly, dressing them up with space gear or piloting iconic Arwings. Each photo was tagged with custom (and wildly punny) copy, generating significant buzz, massive paw-sitive affinity, and sustained excitement in the Twitter-sphere.
